MURRAY, Betty J., 70, PRESQUE ISLE, December 16, 2011. A spring interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Homes, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Betty J. Murray, 70, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born June 13, 1941, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Afton and Cecilia (Williams) Gardiner.

    Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus on Chapman St. in Presque Isle. She was a lady of strong faith, prayer, and was always reading her Bible.

    She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey of Presque Isle, Joel and his wife, Stephanie of Soldonta, Alaska; three daughters, Penny Burbee and her husband, Loomis Jr. of Dunnellon, Florida, Tammy Sinclair and her husband, Jerry, and Lisa Murray, all of Presque Isle. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special lady, Carolyn MacBurnie whom she thought of as a daughter.

    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Murray and a sister, Barbara Green.

    Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the Church of Jesus with Pastors Clark Jalbert and Ronald Lapointe officiating. Friends called from noon until time of service. A spring interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
