Ginn (Harris), Winona C., 88, of Caribou, at Caribou, on December 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


AR Winona Carolyn (Harris) GinnCaribou – Winona Carolyn (Harris) Ginn, 88, passed mildly away December 16, 2011, at the Caribou Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, where she had received the most loving care and compassion in her last weeks and days on this earth.  Her loving husband of nearly 71 years, Kenneth and her three children, Diane Berndt, Brenda Thomason and Gregg Ginn were at her bedside.

She was born in Perham January 27, 1923, the daughter of the late Harold and Stella (Dahlgren) Harris. 

Surviving in addition to her husband and children are her sister, Wanda (Harris) Haines;  son-in-law, Willie Berndt;  daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Lynch; eight grandchildren, Gregg (wife Shanda), Adam (wife Jennifer), Berndt, Kenneth (wife Linda), Michelle Thomason, John (wife Jennifer), Matt, Doug, and Liam Ginn; seven great-grandchildren, Colton, Logan, and Peyton Berndt, Billy Reese, Alex Thomason and Grace and Jack Ginn. Also, like children to her were her nieces, Lori Haines and Kristi (Haines) Michaud (husband Reggie), and like grandchildren to her were her grandnephews, Jacob and Kristopher Michaud. Mrs. Ginn was predeceased by her sisters, Wilda (Harris) Flesey and Wilhimina Harris, her brothers, Wilbur and Douglas Harris, a son-in-law, Lee Thomason and her dearest friend Mabel (Wallace) Morgan. Her family was always the center of her life. She was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church for over 57 years and prior to that was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland. She taught Sunday school and was active in the A.B.W. Mission Society for many years as well as serving on various church committees.

Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Otto Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
