Local knitters

This season, the local Knit Nite Group has joined the efforts of the 2012 Special Olympics “scarf project.” This project wishes to see every Olympian wearing a scarf, which will display the 2012 colors. The scarf project’s goal is to collect about 1,406 scarves. Anyone interested in learning more about the project can call Carol at Carol’s Country Yarn Shop at 521-0700. The Knit Nite group meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the New Limerick town office. Helping with the project are, front from left, Michelle Bye, Jo Holmes, Norma Nightingale and Jean Cole; and back, Roberta Johnson, Karla Harrison, Judy Nightingale, Carol Hornor and Deanne Long.
