To the editor:
I am writing on behalf of “Lilly”, a little 8-day-old kitten abandoned on the middle of the road just because her little legs were deformed. Someone found her and called the Halfway Home Pet Rescue and they did come to the “Rescue of Lilly.” After tender loving care from Dr. Pesut and the love and care from the Halfway Home Pet Rescue, Lilly’s legs are now perfect.
Without this Pet Rescue in Caribou, it is sad to say that there would be no Lilly today who makes me laugh, tickles my heart, a great playmate with the other kitties in her new home. To those powers to be … please allow the Halfway Home Pet Rescue to remain in Caribou.
There is an extreme need in this city, let alone the surrounding area. Lilly is just one small example of the good works that go on at the rescue.
I would also like to encourage the citizens of Caribou to take time to volunteer or donate money and food, litter, etc. to this great organization. With winter coming the need is going to be even greater for our four-legged furry little friends.
Anyone wishing to see how Lilly is doing can do so at www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org.
And to Norma Milton … a big, big heartfelt thank you for allowing me to adopt Lilly and may God send you many, many blessings for all that you do.
