Farnham deserves medal of honor
To the editor:
I would like to make a few comments concerning the Jan. 4 article on Steve Farnham and Governor LePage in the Star-Herald.
I think Gov. LePage is the one living in a different world than the one we live in. He is the one that should be fired, as he is a disaster to the state of Maine.
I have known Steve since he went to work the Aroostook Agency on Aging and he has been a neighbor for 22 years. He has dedicated his life to helping others; young people as a Scoutmaster as well as the elderly. I know many people who have been helped by Steve. Gov. LePage should have checked Steve’s background before opening his mouth.
The directors of Aroostook Agency on Aging should recommend Steve for the medal of honor for his dedicated work over the past years.
Gov. LePage showed the true spirit of a politician by his actions. It reflects that he has no compassion for the poor, sick and elderly. To make the statement that a man of Steve’s stature should be fired is a statement that won’t be forgotten by the people of Aroostook County.
Keep up the good work Steve, your work will live on in the hearts of the people you have helped as well as their families, while in a few years the name Gov. LePage won’t even be remembered.
We the people of Aroostook County are with you as you proceed with your goal in life to help others.
