Three one-loss teams are at the top of the Eastern Maine Class D boys Heal Point standings.

Central Aroostook is one, followed by Jonesport Beals and Washburn. Central Aroostook and Washburn will meet up for the first time this season on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Washburn, which should prove to be a great game and have a huge impact on who enters the tournament as the top seed.

At home the Vikings downed Ellsworth by five points. Caribou got off to a fast start outscoring the Eagles, 26-9, in the first quarter.

“We weathered many runs by them throughout the game to hold onto the lead,” said Caribou coach Chris Casavant. “We felt like we played well the night before which carried over into Saturdays game.”

Casavant also added this is a game from which Caribou can build.
