The 2012 Aroostook County Relay for Life event is having its Kick-off Night on Tuesday, January 31st from 6-8 p.m. at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center (dessert and coffee provided).
This kick-off ceremony will be the start of this year’s Relay fund-raising season leading up to the overnight event in June. If you have been a team captain before, or would like to learn about how to start a team, you are invited to come out on the 31st and get information about how Relay and the American Cancer Society help people right here in the County.
The Kick-off Night will have a lot of new info for veteran Relayers as well as answering all of the questions for people new to Relay (like “What is Relay?” “How do you start a team?” “What are some good ways to fundraise?”). You do not have to be a survivor or caregiver to participate – just someone who wants to help in the fight against cancer.
Last year the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event in Aroostook County raised more than $120,000 for the fight against cancer. This year, we want our Relay to be even bigger and better! Come join us to find out how you can help.
