To the editor:

As the director of Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce, I want to bring to your attention the impact the Loring Job Corps Center has on the city of Caribou. The Chamber has been able to rely on Loring Job Corps Center to provide some amazing students to learn and be of help to us. Loring Job Corps Center has consistently proven that they are cultivating highly skilled, highly dedicated students who are excited, prepared and ready to learn more about their area of interests and work.

As a director, I know the importance of having interns and employees that have a strong interest in enhancing their skills. Loring Job Corps always sends students that have a thirst for knowledge, work hard, and therefore, are able to be a contributor to the city of Caribou and the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce. Through our partnership with Loring Job Corps, I have seen well-equipped interns whose work ethic and expertise is beyond many of their fellow employees. I have had the pleasure of working with 40 Loring Job Corps students in many different aspects of the work force, from everyday office projects to large community events with over 1,000 community members in attendance. Loring Job Corps always shows the power of what a great learning establishment can do for the community.

I urge our legislative delegation to give your full support for a continued strong investment for Loring Job Corp. The students and staff will continue to have the full support of the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce.
