MAPLETON – Emelia “Toni” Marie Flannigan, 91, passed away at her residence in Mapleton on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. She was born on December 19, 1920, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Louisson and Alice (Daigle) Chasse. She has lived in Mapleton since 1940. She owned and operated Toni’s Beauty Shop for 37 years. “Toni” was a member of the Mapleton United Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Anita Currier and her husband, Charles of Mapleton, and Paula Flannigan of Batavia, Ohio; a son, Keith Flannigan of Mapleton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and 15 siblings.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Kenneth Phelps officiating. Friends called from noon until time of service at the funeral home. Spring interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
