Lady Wildcats end regular season at 18-0
The last week of the regular season of schoolgirl basketball featured a very light schedule in the region.

Here’s a recap of games played through Friday, Feb. 10:
Easton 47, Limestone/MSSM 31 — At Easton Friday night, Mindy Desmond scored 15 points and Carla Halvorson chipped in with 11 points, seven assists and six steals as the Bears finished the regular season with a 10-8 record.
Hannah Ferris added eight points and eight rebounds for the winners while Ariana Babineau had four points, nine rebounds and five assists. Danielle Dudley had four points and Mariah Cyr had three.
Stephanie Leighton paced 9-9 Limestone with 10 points and Alexis Bell added nine.
Both the Bears and Eagles made the postseason.
Presque Isle 77, Caribou 21 — The Presque Isle Lady Wildcats finished out the regular season with another win to push their record to 18-0.
At Presque Isle Thursday, the Wildcats used a punishing defense and 26 unanswered points to start the game to record the 56 point win over Caribou.
Chandler Guerrette paced Presque Isle with 20 points. Meredith Stewart chipped in with 11 points and Karlee Bernier added 10.
Jamie Martin and Becca McDougal each scored five points for 2-16 Caribou.
Presque Isle is the No. 1 seed in
the Class B tournament.
Limestone/MSSM 51, Southern Aroostook 41 — At Dyer Brook Wednesday, Amanda Allen and Leighton each scored 11 points to carry the Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics to victory.
Melissa Cantafio added eight points for the 9-8 Eagles.
Sable Altvater paced the 8-10 Warriors with 14 points.
Fort Fairfield 63, Madawaska 27 — At Fort Fairfield Feb. 7, the Tigers used balanced scoring to pull away from the Owls for the victory.
For the 14-3 Tigers, Sydney Churchill had 12 points followed by 11 from Amanda Hotham.
For 4-14 Madawaska, Amanda Nadeau had 11.
The Lady Tigers are the No. 2 seed in the Class D tournament.
