MAPLETON BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT Amanda Winslow LO-MAPLETON-DC1X-SH-08 of Troop 1133 is pictured here with Cynthia Condon, second-grade teacher at Mapleton Elementary School. Amanda donated 100 prize box items, 100 colored pencils and 100-plus stickers to Condon’s class as part of earning the Girl Scouts of Maine Centennial Patch. Amanda made her 100’s of donations Feb. 10, which was the 100th day of school. Amanda has been a member of Troop 1133 for four years and is the 9-year-old daughter of Willie and Nancy Winslow.

Amanda Winslow, a member of Mapleton Brownie Girl Scout Troop 1133, took on the challenge of earning the Girl Scouts of Maine Centennial Patch this year. This patch was created in celebration of the 100th year of Girl Scouting. In order to successfully earn the patch, girls are asked to complete 100 acts of community service. Amanda selected the second-graders at her school, Mapleton Elementary, as the recipient of her donations. On the 100th day of school, which was Feb. 10, Amanda donated 100 prize box items to Cynthia Condon’s second-grade class, 100 colored pencils and over 100 stickers for Mrs. Condon to use on her classes’ papers.
