Caribou – Nancy M. Cyr, 70, died February 17, 2012, at a Caribou hospital. She was born June 25, 1941, at Fort Fairfield the daughter of the late Medford J. and Ruth C. (Ross) Grass. Nancy was employed by several local food processing companies including McCain Foods up until her retirement.
She is survived by three daughters, Natalie A. Jones and her husband, Michael of Fort Fairfield, Nanette R. Cyr of Caribou and Lynn R. James and her husband, Mitchell of Caribou; one brother, Dale M. Grass and his wife, Shigeko of San Antonio, Tex.; one sister, Carla J. DeMerchant and her husband, Larry of Fort Fairfield; four grandchildren, Steven J. Corbin, Christopher Spring, Nicholas James and Chelsea Cyr; and four great-grandchildren, Kianah, Landan, Braeden and Nathan. She was predeceased by her husband, Nathan J. Cyr in 1993 and a sister, Renekka Saucier.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Smith, officiating.
