Plummer wins Al Reeves Memorial Tournament

    PRESQUE ISLE — Thirty-eight bowlers took part in the 10th annual Al Reeves Memorial Tournament at Northern Lanes on March 17 and Jarrod Plummer took home the championship trophy.

    The king of the hill handicap tournament had the top four bowlers in the three divisions moving on with a chance to win.

    In the first of the championship round, Dan Dyer topped Rick Curtis; Carrie Levasseur bested Mona Reiersen and Mike Ireland over Chuck Fletcher.

    In the second round, Michael Lee beat Dyer; Levasseur won in a tiebreaker of Sandi Post and Plummer topped Ireland.

    In the penultimate round, Tom Pelkey won a tiebreaker over Lee; Levasseur beat Larry Little and Plummer bested Justin Good.

    In the championship round, Plummer rolled a 144 with handicap; Levasseur totaled 138 with handicap and Pelkey 126 with handicap.
