Promotions announced at MMG meeting
PRESQUE ISLE — At its annual meeting held April 11, MMG Insurance Co.’s board of directors voted to promote vice president, marketing director, Stephen Gallant to senior vice president-external operations, and Corey Graham from casualty claims manager to assistant vice president.
“We are pleased to announce these promotions within our officer group,” said Larry M. Shaw, president and chief executive officer. “Evolution of our agency and policyholder interaction continues to experience major changes influenced by new consumer expectations and technology. Steve brings a unique mix of finance and marketing experience which is vital to our continued evolution. In addition, we look forward to his contributions at an executive level in all areas of MMG.

It is our plan to continue to invest in this area which we feel is a competitive advantage for our franchise,” he said. “Corey’s promotion into the officer role represents focus on that commitment. With over 20 years of claims experience including previous work with a national carrier, he also brings perspective that will be important in handling the claims needs of new products and markets.”
Stephen Gallant joined the company in 1996. Prior to becoming the vice president of marketing, he held the position of accounting manager. He holds a bachelor of science and a master of science degree in business administration from Husson College. Gallant is a past member of the Northern Maine Community College Accounting Information Systems Program Advisory Committee and Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development (LEAD). He is also past president and board member of the Presque Isle Country Club, and is currently a member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club.
Graham joined MMG in 2006 and has served as casualty claims manager since 2010. He has been employed in the insurance industry since 1992 holding various positions including producer, litigation examiner and regional casualty claims specialist. He holds a bachelor of science degree in criminology from the University of Southern Maine and a master of business administration degree from Husson University.
Corey Graham has also earned the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the Legal Principles Claim Specialist (LPCS) designation from the American Educational Institute. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.
He is a past president and vice president of the Northern Maine Claims Association, past member of the board of directors for the Piscataquis Regional YMCA, past board member for the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club and past planning board member and appeals board member for the town of Dover-Foxcroft.
