MAPLETON – Doris Marie (Howlett) Worthington, 79, wife of Master Sgt. Howard E. Worthington, went home to be with the Lord in the early hours of April 19, 2012, at the Aroostook Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born in Presque Isle on Sept. 16, 1932, the daughter of Vernie and Gladys (Higgins) Howlett.
Doris attended the Full Gospel Assembly Church in Presque Isle since 1945. She was a member and officer in the Eastern Star at Wheatland, California.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Worthington of Mapleton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Galen Kennedy Jr. of Mapleton, and Paula and Larry Brown, of Chapman; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Scott and Penny Kennedy of Mapleton, and Ryan and Ashley Brown, of Chapman.
There will no calling or services. Interment will be a private family affair at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
