The Esther Eayres Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a recognition meeting at Orono United Methodist Church for the NSDAR Good Citizens on April 2.
The seven participating schools selected their Good Citizen and those picked submitted material, which included a transcript, essay of their activities, letters of recommendation and an additional essay of an unknown subject until an unopened envelope revealed the subject and then they were expected to write the essay within two hours with only pen and paper of 600 words or less.
