Koch, Fort Fairfield duo compete in NEs
SACO — Three local athletes made the trip to the other end of the state Saturday to compete in the New England Track and Field Championships, held at Thornton Academy.
Washburn sophomore Carsyn Koch had qualified for two events. She placed 13th out of 29 competitors in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:11.72 and also was 15th out of 30 in the 800, posting a time of 2:23.32.
Fort Fairfield had a pair of athletes participating. Legeorge Williams was 27th in the triple jump with a mark of 39 feet, 10-1/2 inches and Andrew Lewis placed 28th in the discus with a mark of 127 feet, 6 inches.
