Watson earns high honors, graduates
Benjamin Watson of Caribou was named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. for the spring semester, earning high honors. He graduated from college with a BA in history on May 19.
Two hundred and fifty students graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle during the 2011-12 academic year, including 26 local students.
Graduating summa cum laude included Stephanie Corriveau and Marina Grivois, both of Van Buren.
Graduating magna cum laude included Elizabeth Bell, Brittany Kirby, Leland McDougal, Danielle Pelkey and Derick St. Peter, all of Caribou; as well as Robert Blaisdell from Connor, Alexis Gereben of Van Buren and Andrea Zappone of Woodland.
Graduating cum laude were Colby Doody and Janelle Gagnon, both of Caribou, and Benjamin Rosser of Woodland.
Others receiving degrees included Krista Albert, Dustin Damboise, Amanda Dionne, Holly Handren, Brianna Lizotte, Ulyianna Michaud, Michael Mink, Jr., Alessandra Pizzuti, Zachary Smith and Edmond Theriault, all of Caribou, as well as Demerese Montgomery of Limestone, Lindsey Cote of Stockholm and Keith Grivois of Van Buren.
Three hundred and nine students at the University of Maine at Presque have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester, according to Dr. Michael Sonntag, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Named to the highest honors list included Elizabeth Barbosa, Eric Brown, Daniel Campbell, Brandon Caverhill, Alicia Clark, Deric Flaherty, Janelle Gagnon, Rachel Jordan, Lydia Kieffer, Alyssa Kilcollins, Leland McDougal, Katie Ouellette, Benjamin Rosser, Derick St. Peter, Lanette Virtanen and Christina Wall, all of Caribou.
Also earning highest honors were Robert Blaisdell of Connor, Andrew Hunt, Kathi Jandreau, Demerese Montgomery and Salvadore Portera, Jr., all of Limestone, as well as Philip Boody and Cassandra Davenport of New Sweden. Stephanie Corriveau and Erica Ouellette, all of Van Buren, also made the list along with Joey Bard and Sarah McGlinn, both of Woodland.
Named to the high honors list included Erin Caldwell, Sare Damboise, Robert Marrett, Raeann Michaud, Tressa Philbrook, Leah Rodriguez, Daniel St. Peter and Keegan Wakana, all of Caribou, as well as Nicole Walker of Limestone and Mika Ouellette of Van Buren.
Named to the honors list included Krista Albert, Kyle Corrigan, Katie Corriveau, Justin Hayes, Steven McDougal, Ellis Pelletier, Chelsea St. Peter and Adam Thibodeau, all of Caribou, Staci Hamilton of Connor, Chelsey Ellis and Audrey Pictou, both of Limestone, and Jenna Bouchard, Tonya Godin, Joshua Michaud, Marissa Ouellette and Matthew Vick, all of Van Buren.
King graduates from Colby
Karyn King of Caribou, was among 465 seniors who graduated from Colby College during the May 20 commencement in Waterville. The daughter of Gena King, Karyn majored in biology with a neuroscience concentration and is a graduate of Caribou High School.
