Labbe, Frank Albert, 53, of Caribou and Presque Isle, on July 13, 2012. Friends may call 7-9 p.m., July 20. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., July 21, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


ARSH Frank-LabbeCaribou and Presque Isle – Frank Albert Labbe, 53, passed away peacefully July 13, 2012, at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He was born May 7, 1959, in Caribou, the son of the late Adrien and Nellie (Bolstridge) Labbe.

Frank attended Caribou schools and the Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in Presque Isle where he completed the Automotive Mechanics program. He worked for 33 years in food services at Northern Maine Community College where he met and befriended many students, co-workers and instructors. He was a gentle man with a big heart who was willing to help everyone. Frank enjoyed candlepin bowling and fishing. One of his favorite activities was researching the genealogical files at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Caribou where he developed an extensive file of Bolstridge and Labbe ancestors.

Frank is survived by a brother, Michael and his wife, Annette (Day) Labbe of St. Agatha; niece, Haley (Labbe) Brown and her husband, Timothy of Livermore; nephew, Christopher Labbe, of Brunswick; niece, Kerry Hafford, of Bangor and several cousins. He leaves behind a dear friend and care-giver, Barbara Curry of Caribou. Frank is predeceased by his parents and an infant sister, Pamela Labbe. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at TAMC for their wonderful care and Dr. Kirtani for her expertise and gentle bedside manner.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 20, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Emile Dube, officiating. Following the service, a time of continued fellowship and refreshments will held at the parish center. Burial will be at the New Holy Rosary Cemetery in Caribou.
