Keliher speaks at Probus meeting

PRESQUE ISLE — Fourteen members of the Probus Club of Aroostook met at Northern Maine Community College Sept. 20. Sandra Keliher was the guest speaker.

She is a partially retired teacher and certified public accountant.  Along with her husband, Keliher is enjoying life working, living and traveling in an RV. Most recently, the couple has donated two months of their time and talents to a volunteer Mennonite RV recovery ministry. This ministry will be taking them during the winter to an area of Alabama or Texas that has been devastated by heavy rains and/or tornadoes.

During the business meeting, Helen McConnell gave the secretary’s report and Gerry Gallagher the treasurer’s report. Fourteen members have paid their dues for the coming year. Steve Campbell, vice president of Probus Canada, will make arrangements for a visit with the Aroostook County group.

Linda Swett will contact the Presque Isle Rotary Club to bring them up to date on local Probus Club activities.
