Candidates debate set for Oct. 24

    HOULTON — The Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce will host a “Candidates Forum” for individuals running for election to the Houlton Town Council on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
    The forum is a chance for candidates to answer questions, posed by members of the public. Five individuals are seeking two seats (three-year terms) on the council. They are incumbent Mike Jenkins, Phil Bernaiche, Carl Lord Jr., Dan Peabody and Phil Cloney.
    Written questions can be sent to the Chamber office prior to the event by emailing director@greaterhoulton.com or by mailing questions to: Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce, 109 Main Street, Houlton, ME 04730
    On the evening of the forum, residents may also call in questions to the town office (532-7111). The forum is open to the public and will be broadcast on local public access.
