CARIBOU, Maine — The sixth-grade teachers, Mr. Pelletier, Mrs. Bouchard, Ms. Jajoie and Mrs. Heidorn, have chosen Logan Lusardi as one of the October Students of the Month. Lusardi is a new student to CMS and has done an outstanding job of adjusting to a new environment, friends and teachers. He is an excellent student, very organized, and is always willing to participate. Lusardi is kind to others and can be found lending a hand whenever needed. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves ice fishing, riding his ATV and hunting.

Hailey Holmquist is the other sixth grade Student of the Month. Holmquist is an excellent student, always prepared for class, willing to participate in classroom discussions, and sets a positive example for her peers through her work ethic. She plays the clarinet for the CMS school band, is a member of the yearbook committee, and is an avid participant in Girl Scouts of America. Perhaps one of the best things about Hailey is her genuine kindness to all of her peers.

The grade 7 teachers have chosen Jaelynn Doody for their October Student of the Month. Doody is a very active student in and outside of school. She is a member of the CMS band, soccer and basketball teams. Doody is a wonderful student who takes great pride in her work. She can often be seen helping her teachers and peers around the classroom. Doody has also been very involved in Little League, Rec programs and Girl Scouts. Even though she is involved in many activities, Doody can prioritize her schoolwork to be successful.

The grade 7 teachers have also chosen Evan Desmond as one of the October Students of the Month. Desmond’s teachers state that he is a fantastic student who consistently demonstrates academic excellence within the classroom. Desmond has proven to be a young man of sound character by being a good role model for his peers to follow. Desmond is very deserving of this recognition and his teachers are very pleased to have him in their classes.

Emma Theriault has been selected as the 8th grade Student of the Month for October. Theriault was chosen because of her positive attitude toward classes, teachers, schoolwork and classmates. Theriault has participated in cheerleading, soccer, chorus and All Aroostook chorus while at Caribou Middle School. She plans on trying out for show choir this year at CMS and is also involved in her youth group and baby-sits when not busy at CMS.  Theriault is a great example for all at CMS. Her fabulous work ethic and treatment of others makes her a true role model.

Madison Doucette has been selected as the other eighth grade Student of the Month for October. Doucette continues to demonstrate her ability to balance academics and extracurricular activities. Her dedication and positive attitude can be observed every day at Caribou Middle School in everything she does. Doucette is a well-respected friend and student. She is always willing and ready to help her teachers and fellow classmates and is a great role model for everyone at CMS.
