PVC teams named

    The Penobscot Valley Conference fall teams have been posted, with several student-athletes from the area being recognized.
    Named to the All-Conference golf team were Houlton’s Ryan Dee and Cam Clark.
    Selected for the All-Conference Class C girls soccer First Team was Houlton’s Alana Pratt; Second Team, Houlton goalie Marina Cameron and Abby Deveau.
    Houlton girl’s coach Tim Tweedie received honors of being Coach of the Year.
    Jimmy Fitzpatrick of Houlton was recognized as the PVC Player of the Year for Class C boys soccer. He also was named All-Conference First Team, along with Kyle Bouchard. Kole Buzzeo of Houlton was selected as All-Conference Second Team, as well as Brandon Ward. Houlton’s Dan Swallow was All-Conference Third Team.
    Megan Merry of Katahdin High School was named All-Conference First Team for Class D girls soccer, with teammate Morgan Livezey picking up an Honorable Mention.
    Joining the All-Conference First Team boys Class D soccer were Katahdin players Sam Vetter and Lucas Anderson.
    Garnering PVC All-Academic honors were: Katahdin’s Anderson; Houlton’s Cameron, Rebekah Holmes, Fitzpatrick and Ethan Morse.
