Free skating Saturday; civic center activities

    Activities at the John Millar Civic Center have been listed for December.
    Free skating at the arena on Saturday from 6-9 p.m. thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Houlton Fair Association and WHOU-FM 100.1. Additionally, Feet, Face and Fanny Soap is sponsoring free hot drinks and hot dogs for skaters. The Houlton Fair Association will have fair passes to give away, as well as some for sale and WHOU-FM will be doing a live broadcast of the event.
    After-school skating will take place Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 2-4 p.m. Children in grade 3 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend. RSU 29 Bus 11 will be available to drop your children off at the civic center after school if a note is sent with the child. The cost is $3.50 per skater and $2 per skate rental.
    The 2012 Bill Weber Memorial Alumni Hockey Game will be held Saturday, Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. at the John Millar Civic Center in remembrance of Bill Weber. If you are interested in playing, call the civic center at 532-1313 for more information.
