UMPI students premiere polio video

PRESQUE ISLE — Students at the University of Maine at Presque Isle will be presenting their student-produced video “The Fight to End Polio: A Brief History,” on Tuesday, December 11, at 12:30 p.m. in the Allagash Room of the Campus Center.

This is a 17-minute film that was created by Dr. Jacqui Lowman’s PCJ 212 class as part of UMPI’s World Polio Day and Purple Pinkie Project event earlier this semester.

The students will say a few words before the show, popcorn will be provided and there will be a Q&A afterward. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Gayla Shaw at 768-9452.
