VFW Halloween event a hit
PRESQUE ISLE — VFW Auxiliary 2599 put on a children’s Halloween Party Oct. 20.
Forty one children attended the event. They enjoyed games, pumpkin decorating, guessing jars, a lunch and the traditional cake walk, with everyone attending bringing home a cake or two.
There was costume judging and every child received a trick-or-treat bag filled with candy.
Several local businesses contributed and many Auxiliary members volunteered their time to the event.
