School vacation activities listed

    The Houlton Recreation Department will be offering the following activities during the December vacation break. 
    Vacation fun program for grades preK – grade 6. This will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 26, Thursday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.  Each day will be filled with games, contests, and crafts. Registration is required by Dec. 21 by calling 532-1310. Children will need to bring their lunch and drink on Dec. 26 and 27 and a McDonalds lunch will be served on Friday.  Cost for the program is $5 per day, per child, plus the cost of the McDonalds meal.
    Open gym and game room hours for the December vacation break are as follows: Saturday, Dec. 22  and Sunday, Dec. 23 from 1-4 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 24 from 1-3 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 25 – Closed ~ Merry Christmas; Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Dec. 27 from 1-4 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 28, Saturday, Dec. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 30 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 31 from 1-3 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 1 – Closed ~ Happy New Years!
    The game room will be open daily 1-4 p.m.
    Youth must be in grades 2– 12 to attend Houlton Recreation Department open hours. Youth must be in grades 7–12 to attend the 6-8 p.m. hours. Children younger than grade 2 must be with a parent. Any questions on the hours, call 532-1310. 
    Walker’s hours for the vacation break will be Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the gymnasium will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
