UMPI baseball clinic
PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle baseball team will hold a three-day baseball clinic in Wieden Gymnasium March 15-17.
Participants can choose to go to three different sessions and the cost will be as follows: $40 for one session, $70 for two sessions, and $90 for three sessions. Session one, on Friday, March 15 from 6-9 p.m., will be throwing and catching mechanics, fielding groundballs and fly balls. Session two, on Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be hitting and bunting instruction. Session three, on Sunday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be more hitting and base running.

XC skiing event
PRESQUE ISLE – The university’s Outing Club invites the public to join them for an afternoon of cross country skiing at Aroostook State Park on Friday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
Meet at Gentile Hall at 12:45 p.m. and the van departs for the park at 1 p.m. Cost for UMPI students is free with student ID; non-students, $3. The fee includes ski rental, transportation and instruction. For more information, call 768-9401.
