Brittany Hagan, daughter of Dennis and Billie Jo Hagan of Houlton, represented the Houlton Recreation Department in the regional Hot Shot Competition on Feb. 23 in Caribou. She took first
place in the girls 9-10-year-old division. Hot Shots is sponsored by local recreation departments, the Maine Parks & Recreation Association and Maine Red Claw Basketball. Hagan has now qualified for the state competition on March 10 in Portland. Others qualifying for regionals from Houlton were: Collin Moody, Carson Grant, Cameron Callnan, Savannah Walton, Sydney Lorom, Sam Condon, Abbie Worthley and Carolyn Mooers.
