The Caribou and Washburn girls and Madawaska and Fort Fairfield boys captured Aroostook League volleyball titles last week.
In Presque Isle last Wednesday, the Div. I girls tournament took place. Caribou, which came out of the round-robin portion of the event with a 7-1 record, defeated Presque Isle (5-3) in the championship, 25-7 and 25-14.

Also competing were Madawaska (4-4), Fort Kent (3-5) and Houlton (1-7).
Making the all-tourney team were Brea Judd of Caribou, Alexis Desjardins of Fort Kent, Erin Ackerson of Presque Isle, Ashley Grass of Houlton and Hannah Cody of Madawaska.
The boys tournament was held that same afternoon in Caribou. Madawaska held a 5-3 record following the round-robin and then defeated Presque Isle (7-1) in the finals, 25-20 and 25-23.
Caribou and Houlton both went 4-4 and Fort Kent was 0-8.
The all-tourney team consisted of Grant Bennett of Caribou, Ian Lee of Madawaska, Charlie Nadeau of Fort Kent, Jimmy Fitzpatrick of Houlton and Dakota Fox and Connor Seward, both of Presque Isle.
Eleven teams competed in the Div. II boys tournament in Fort Fairfield Saturday.
The team records after the round-robin were as follows: Pool A: Easton (8-0), Washburn (5-3), Greater Houlton Christian Academy (4-4), Hodgdon (2-6) and Central Aroostook (1-7). Pool B: Fort Fairfield (9-1), Limestone-MSSM (7-3), Katahdin (6-4), Van Buren (5-5), Wisdom (4-6) and Ashland (0-10).
In the semifinals, Fort Fairfield beat Washburn, 25-12 and 25-22, while Easton topped Limestone-MSSM, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-20.
The championship match went to Fort Fairfield, who defeated Easton, 25-14 and 25-20.
The MVP was Caleb Daigle of the victorious Tigers. Others on the all-tourney team were Nick Belanger of Ashland, Dustin Pryor of Central Aroostook, Hunter Turner of Easton, Andrew Lewis of Fort Fairfield, Russell Socoby of GHCA, Grier Osterman of Limestone-MSSM, Caleb Roy of Van Buren, Nick Bragg of Washburn and Nathan Oakes of Wisdom.
At Washburn Friday, 10 teams vied for the girls’ title. The records in the round-robin were: Pool A: Washburn (7-1), Fort Fairfield (6-2), Easton (5-3), Ashland (1-7) and GHCA (1-7). Pool B: Van Buren (8-0), Wisdom (6-2), Hodgdon (4-4), Limestone-MSSM (2-6) and Central Aroostook (0-8).
In the semifinal round, Washburn downed Wisdom, 25-12 and 25-21 and Fort Fairfield bested Van Buren, 25-18 and 25-24.
Washburn then got past Fort Fairfield in the finals, 25-18 and 25-21.
The all-tournament team consisted of Claudia Bourgoyne of Wisdom, Carmen Bragg of Washburn, Megan Jellison of Fort Fairfield, Haley Duff of GHCA, Caitlyn Paradis of Ashland, Carla Halvorson of Easton, Hayley Frank of Limestone-MSSM, Michaela King of Central Aroostook, Parise Rossignol of Van Buren and Valerie Estabrook of Hodgdon.
