Dad, Joey and Sam were playing snowball fight outside. Then Joey went inside. Dad and Sam went inside, too. They saw the monster outside. Joey asked Dad, “What is that?”
“I don’t know,” said Dad. “It looks like a monster!”
“Well, he might eat us for dinner,” said Joey
“ Maybe, but I will keep us safe,” said Dad.
“Let’s get out,” Joey said.
Suddenly, the lights went out, because the monster cut the wires with his long, sharp fingernails. Sam said, “Do you think the monster will get us?”
“Yes!” said Joey.
“Let’s get in the basement,” said Dad. Joey and Dad ran into the basement.
Sam went upstairs and she was eaten. Dad and Joey went in the attic. Dad went downstairs and the monster was behind him and he got eaten. Mom came in the pickup and Joey jumped in. She put it in 4 wheel drive and stepped on it. The monster came out and Mom and Joey ran over the monster and killed him. They drove off.
