The Creepy Costume Contest

It was the night of the Pumpkin Valley Harvest Festival. Everyone in Pumpkin Valley, Maine was there. There was kettle corn, games, hayrides, and more. The biggest thing there was the costume contest. Everybody brought their best costume. Everybody thought that Lily Ross’s was the best.  Laughter was heard from the next town over. All of a sudden

the sun went down and every light went out. HELP HELP!!!! Everyone yelled. Then they heard a weird voice that nobody has ever heard before. “Where is Lily Ross?” he asked angrily. “l…I…I’m right here” she stuttered. “Come over here!” the weird little voice said. “What do you want with me?” she asked in a scared voice. “Just come here!” he said a second time. So Lily started pushing through the crowd, but nobody was there. “Where are they?” she screamed. “Just get over here!” he said again. So Lily went over and he grabbed the collar of her new shirt. He whispered in her ear “1 heard that everyone thought that you had the best costume and that you would win the costume contest. I WILL win no matter what it takes.” “Nothing is ever fun if you don’t play fair,” Lily said back. “You are going to hide before the contest starts so I can win,” he said very smartly. Lily started tugging to get away. “Hey, I’m not done with you,” he said grabbing tighter. “If you tell anyone you will be gone forever,” he whispered very quietly. Then, he snapped his fingers, he disappeared, and everybody was back and had forgotten about everything that had just happened. Lily had never gotten to see the mean creeper. Even though she was scared, she decided to tell her mom. She did and her mom didn’t believe her. “You have to, you just have to believe me!” she said very loudly. “He is going to cheat to win the costume contest.” Before her mom could say anything, one contest judge said “We are going to start our costume contest now. So, if the following would please get into your costumes. Lily Ross, Chance Willow, and Holly Pinkham.” Lily had never heard of Chance Willow before so that made Lily think. Lily’s mom helped her get into her costume. Lily wished good luck to the other competitors to see if Chance would answer. He sounded just like the mean creeper. Lily whispered in his ear. “Hey I’m not hiding,” she said smartly. He was about to yell at her when they got called on stage. Right before the judges said the winner, Lily told them that Chance was the mean creeper dressed as a kid. Lily had to explain until they believed her. Finally they believed her. They called the cops and took the creeper away. Everybody clapped and cheered. Lily won the contest and the creeper was gone. It had turned out to be a great day.
    The End!!!!!
