The Apache Indians lived in New Mexico and Arizona. They were a nomadic group of people and would at times travel as far south as Mexico. They made their homes out of straw and they looked like domes.
The Indians’ clothing was made from deer hides and they soaked the hides in water to stretch them. They also rubbed them to make them soft.
The Indians did not eat raw food, they ate steamed food for the cold season.
They believed the crow was a sign of good luck and they thought there was a spirit like a ghost.
The Indians made baskets to carry food and they also used baskets for games. They painted them with squished fruit and berries and they made dolls out of corn husks.
