Pageants set for Saturday

    Presque Isle High School’s Class of 2015 will be sponsoring the two Mapleton pageants this Saturday, April 6 at the PIHS auditorium.

The Little Miss and Pre-Teen Miss Mapleton pageant will be held at 2 p.m., while the Junior Miss, Teen Miss and Miss Mapleton will be held at 7 p.m. Visiting queens are invited to attend and will have free admission at the door. General admission tickets are $7 each.

    THE CLASS OF 2015 at Presque Isle High School will be sponsoring this year’s Mapleton pageants Saturday, April 6. The 2 p.m. pageant will feature the Little Miss and Pre-Teen Miss contestants and reigning queens. Mapleton Alumni meeting

    The Mapleton Alumni Association will hold its annual business meeting Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Gloria Wilcox at 90 Pelkey Road in Mapleton. All business and financial matters will be discussed and decided, as well as banquet plans for this June 29. All graduates of Mapleton High School are welcome to attend.

Bottle drive this Saturday

    Mapleton Boy Scout Troop 170 will be having a bottle drive this Saturday, April 6 to raise money for Scout Camp and to purchase either a trailer or building materials for a storage building for the Troop’s equipment. If you have bottles and cans that you would like picked up before then, please contact Scoutmaster Peter Starr at 551-5196 to make arrangements. Thank you all in advance for your continued support of our Troop.

Friday luncheon

    The Mapleton United Methodist Church will be hosting its monthly luncheon this Friday, April 5 at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to stop by and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. Donations are accepted.
