Is everyone ready for a party? The Portage Lakers Snowmobile Club sure is! The club will be hosting a Groomer Fund-raising Party to help the snowmobile club with the expenses associated with the loss and recovery of their groomer last week.
“The club is so thankful to have such a great group of volunteers who jumped in to help when our groomer went through the ice,” said club President Jennifer Curran.
The party will be held Saturday, April 6 at Dean’s Motor Lodge from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Disc jockey Julie Rae will be spinning the tunes all night. Donations will be accepted for the cover charge and there will be raffle drawings throughout the night. If you can’t make the dance party, but would like to make a donation to the groomer fund, please feel free to send donations to: PLSC, P.O. Box 149, Portage Lake, Maine 04768 or if you prefer to make a donation via PayPal, please e-mail the club at portagelakers@roadrunner.com; they can send you a PayPal invoice. Also, visit the club on Facebook at www.facebook.com/portagelakers.
And Ken — I speak for your friends and neighbors when I say, so glad you’re OK!
