HOULTON – Lillian N. Stairs, 86, went to be with her Lord, April 2, 2013, in Houlton. She was born May 21, 1926, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Charles and Adelaide (Wiley) Sewell.
Lillian was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; she enjoyed her family, bingo and playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Gerald A. Marshall, Michael D. Marshall and his wife, Gail, all of Houlton, Norma A. Ellis and her husband, Edwin of Monticello, and Elaine M. Webb and her husband, Charles of Manchester; stepchildren, Gary A. Stairs of Ludlow, Gail Schools of Littleton, Glen Stairs of Hodgdon and Holly M. Henderson of Houlton; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph C. Marshall; second husband, Lloyd G. Stairs; special friend, James Logue; son, Joseph Marshall Jr.; and nine siblings.
