Houlton Council of Catholic Women met at Elm Tree Diner in Houlton for its end of the year banquet on Tuesday, May 21. President Janet Barker was in charge with moderator the Rev. David Raymond present. Fr. Dave led us in the blessing.
Highlights of the evening were Lynette Dobbs telling of her journey to Germany with son James to visit another son stationed there; Rose Levesque told of her day with Fr. Eddy Morin, former pastor at St. Mary of the Visitation. Father Morin recently broke his leg and is a patient at one of the nursing homes in the Ft. Kent area.
Attending the dinner were Janet Barker, Yvonne Blake, Rose Bushey, Mary Callnan, Lois Cassidy, Elizabeth Childers Lynette Dobbs, Mary Grant, Louise Guillette, Rose Levesque, Rita McDade, Jane Mitchell, Alta Reardon, Bernette Roach, Bernice Tidd, Lois Downing and Father Dave.
The next meeting will be Monday, June 3.
