Easton school resumes with a new face
EASTON NEWS
by Hillary Hallett
The students of Easton in kindergarten through twelfth grade were amongst the earliest going back to school in The County on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
This year the students will have a new teacher in physical education classes at both Easton Elementary School and Easton Junior/Senior High School. Bryan A. Shaw grew up in E-Plantation, just outside of Mars Hill. He graduated from Central Aroostook Junior/Senior High School in 2005. After high school he attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle where he studied in the athletic training program. He graduated from the university with a bachelor’s of science degree in teaching physical education for grades K-12.
Many people know Bryan from his work at the Northern Lighthouse Inc. for the past four years as a Section 28 worker/supervisor. Some may also recognize Bryan from his assistant manager position at Olympia Sports from 2005-09.
He shared that he is honored to be the physical education teacher in our wonderful town and is extremely excited to get the school year started! He wishes to thank everyone that has approached him with congratulations and a warm welcome.
Mr. Shaw shared it has been a great transition and he is looking forward to meeting more staff, parents and most of all the students!
Welcome to Easton, Bryan!
