Grand opening and open house
for new recruiting office
PRESQUE ISLE — The Recruiting and Retention Battalion will hold a grand opening and open house on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Presque Isle store-front recruiting office located in the H&R Block building at 769 Main St., Suite 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At noon Brig. Gen. Brent M. Boyles, Assistant Adjutant General, Maine Army National Guard, will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the new facility.
“The location will assist us in carrying on the proud Aroostook County tradition of filling positions in local units with local citizen soldiers,” said Master Sgt. Stacy Hafford, recruiting section chief.
This event is free to the public and will feature static displays of state-of-the-art military equipment, a rock-climbing wall and light refreshments.
