The 36th annual Bernard and Iva Kenney family reunion was recently held at the Chapman Ridge Runners Clubhouse with 88 family members and guests attending.
A delicious potluck meal was enjoyed by all. Special thanks to Marie and Pat Bagley who manned the kitchen. The meeting was called to order by President Maylen Kenney. Secretary and treasurer reports were read. The family voted to donate to the House of Comfort in memory of all deceased family. A thank-you note was read from Jodi and family about the donation the family made last year in her son, Ryan’s, memory.
The following family members entering college were awarded money for a book: Caleb Kenney, Jake Ham, Naomi Humphrey, Cameryn Lumley and Julia Brown. The 50/50 raffle was won by Christine McPherson and donated back to the college fund. A few family stories were shared and enjoyed by all. The children were entertained outdoors with various games and activities led by Holly Higgins and Krista Hopkins.
Newly elected officers for the upcoming reunion were: President Anna McCarthy, Vice President Cathy Farnum, Secretary Judy Kenney and Treasurer Heather Winslow. Preston Kenney entertained all and emptied pockets during the annual craft auction. Next year’s reunion will be held at the Chapman Clubhouse with a potluck dinner.
