The second varsity cross-country meet was held Aug. 28 in Fort Kent.
Individual runners competed from Fort Kent, Greater Houlton Christian Academy and Limestone/MSSM.
The Fort Kent boys team won the meet with 15 points.

The Fort Kent Invitational Cross-Country Race consisted of a 3.1-mile course.
Matthew Toussaint of Fort Kent was the overall winner with a time of 17:56, followed by Fort Kent’s Sam Ouellette, 19:06; Jared Michaud, 22:18; and Skyler Bernstein, 22:30.
Also, William Popov, Limestone/MSSM, 23:08; Charles Perham, Fort Kent, 24:15; Ethan Jacques, GHCA, 27:13; Josh Winslow, GHCA, 29:34 and Sam Carmichale, GHCA, 30:21.
For the girls, Kelsey Pelletier, Fort Kent won the overall meet with a time of 24:19, with Rylee Warman of GHCA coming in second with a time of 25:06.
Capping off the runners were: Rudy Martin, Fort Kent, 25:19; Eva Farkas, Limestone/MSSM, 27:43; Victoria Holmes, Houlton, 30:55; Paige Hebert, Fort Kent, 32:32 and Caitlin Miles, GHCA, 38:55.
There were not enough female runners to form teams for the schools participating in the meet.ON HER OWN — Victoria Holmes is the lone cross-country varsity runner for Houlton High School.
