Thanks, I am doing well!

To the editor:
Since, I’ve been laid off from city of Presque Isle, I’ve heard from some people who were concerned about me. They’ve had such kind words to me, “It’s not fair. You did an awesome job, Sue. Are you back to work? What have you been doing? Hey, that’s my favorite librarian. We missed you.” Some of you people wanted to know what I’ve been doing and how I am doing. So, here it goes.

Sometimes, I feel uncomfortable to talk about this. And now, I wanted to say, thank you for thinking of me. I’m doing OK or I should say, “I am doing well.” I’ve just found out that I have a part-time job to help with the Fort Fairfield School with 21st Century Afterschool Program. I have all kinds of freedom and I get to do what I really want for my life with my husband, pets and family. The past winter and spring during the school days, I volunteered at the Fort Fairfield School. This summer was the best of my life! I get to do more often on the weekends even when it rains. We went to Florida and did go to Gettysburg, Penn..
We are also spending more time together with our equines; quarter horse, named Justin and Shetland pony, named Sweet Little William, and my designer breed dog, named Duster.
We volunteered at the Rocking S Ranch in Fort Fairfield to train some children riding on the horses and teach them how to care for these equines. That Sweet Little William got a lot of attention with these kids. “Can we pat him? I want to lead him.” It was so cute to see these children give my Sweet Little William attention.
I was supporting Jeff’s Civil War Display at the Presque Isle Forum for the Presque Isle Historical Society during the Northern Maine Fair Days. We were awarded “The Most Knowledgeable Staff.” I attended to Portage Lake’s Whoopie Pie Festival, and entered the contest with my Peanut Butter Filling Whoopie Pie. I even sold some handmade dishcloths and that was fun. I was due to go there because Portage Lake is my hometown where I grew up!
I joined the crocheting club in January, making shawls, afghans, and have made some great friends easily over there. I still have stuff to do.
So, summer is ending, soon. I don’t know what we will like to do together but I do hope there will be all kinds of activities during this type of season: Autumn. I am sure that we can find something to do. For some of you who are friends with me on the Facebook, I can’t say thank you enough for your wonderful friendship. I love you all.
