After such an amazing week there are a great number of people that deserve a “Thank You.”
Thank you to all of the great volunteers from Caribou, Presque Isle, Aroostook County, downstate and even out of state that came to Caribou to help make the balloon launch for Jonathan Trappe a success. It was amazing to see so many people come together to help him achieve his dreams. The resilience of the volunteers to be ready on a moment’s notice and to work through the night speaks volumes about the people of our area.
Thank you to the fine folks at Matheson Gas for their work with the city, volunteers, and Jonathan Trappe to help make this event a reality. Your help throughout the inflation process was greatly appreciated by all.
Thank you to Col. Joe Kittinger for making the trip back to Caribou to be here for this historical event. It was great to have him in our community once again. Having his presence here was a boost for all of the volunteers.
And of course the largest Thank You goes out to Jonathan Trappe. Thank you for choosing Caribou as your launching point. Mr. Trappe as Col. Kittinger has inspired you, you have inspired a whole new generation of children and adults to dream big and follow through on their dreams. We are all proud of you and what you have done. If you ever want to try this adventure again, or any other adventure, the city of Caribou is ready to support you in that attempt.
