TAMC’s Take Flight! event

MORE THAN 3,000 community members came to the Northern Maine Regional Airport in Presque Isle Saturday to take part in TAMC’s Take Flight! event, which featured a health fair, community vendors, mock demonstrations, an airplane parade, scenic flights and more.
Here, a pilot from the Maine Forest Service demonstrates the use of helicopters to deploy water on forest fires, while the fixed-wing plane that serves as an air ambulance for Crown Critical Care Transport prepares for takeoff with a CCT team and “patient” on board following one of the demonstrations that took place.
