NEW SWEDEN, Maine — Jacob Weymouth and Angela Butterfield have been selected as October’s Students of the Month at New Sweden Consolidated School.
Weymouth is an eighth-grade student from Stockholm. He was nominated by his teachers in recognition of his helpfulness to his fellow classmates and younger students. His positive attitude and genuine good spirit are contagious for students and staff alike. Weymouth is a member of the cross country, basketball, ski, wrestling and track and field teams. He is the son of Lisa and Bruce Weymouth and aspires to be a weatherman.
Butterfield is a fifth-grade student from New Sweden. She was nominated by her teachers because she always works hard and helps her classmates. Butterfield is often seen with a smile on her face and is quick to volunteer when someone needs assistance. She is a member of the cross-country, wrestling and track and field teams, along with the Girl Scouts. Butterfield is the daughter of Misty and Douglas Butterfield and aspires to be an actress.
