PRESQUE ISLE — A local man is facing multiple charges after he was caught shoplifting from stores at the Aroostook Centre Mall.

FS-PIPD-Beau-Myrick-cx-sh-46    “The Presque Isle Police Department arrested Beau Myrick, 25, of Presque Isle, Wednesday night (Nov. 6) for theft from two separate stores at the Aroostook Centre Mall. Myrick reportedly took $620 in merchandise from the first store, then when he attempted to steal a pair of socks from a second store, employees caught him,” said Chief Matt Irwin, of the PIPD.
Irwin said Myrick then threatened the store manager, which resulted in Myrick being charged with terrorizing.
“In addition, he resisted arrest when PIPD officers arrived on scene. He’s been charged with theft, violating bail conditions, resisting arrest and terrorizing,” said Irwin.
Myrick was arraigned last week. He was unable to make bail and remained in jail, awaiting his next court date.
