HODGDON — On Dec. 29, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Trooper Carman Lilley responded to a single vehicle accident on the Calais Road in Hodgdon. Isaac Quint, 19, of Hodgdon was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 1 and lost control on the snow-covered road.
Quint skidded off the side of the road, striking and breaking a utility pole. Quint’s vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet pickup was totaled in the crash, but Quint was not injured.
Power to the area was disrupted for a short time until crews from Houlton Water Company could replace the damaged pole.
Maine State Police Sgt. Brian Harris said the incident was under review to determine if any charges would be issued.
