ACCIDENT BLOCKS TRAFFIC
An accident on Friday, Jan. 3, around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Main and North streets briefly slowed the flow of traffic as emergency personnel worked to remove two vehicles.

Ronald Bernier, 70, of Blaine, was traveling north on Main Street in a 2003 Dodge when Bryant Beaulier, 26, of Caribou, who was traveling south on Main Street, failed to yield and attempted to turn onto North Street. A 61-year-old female passenger in the Dodge sustained minor injuries and was transported by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center. Both cars sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and both cars were insured. Officer Kevin Schumacher of the Presque Isle Police Department investigated the accident, assisted by members of the Presque Isle Fire Department.
