Two vehicles went off the road
TWO VEHICLES went off the road in nearly the same spot as the drivers traveled along Route 163 in Mapleton Monday.

Slush combined with freezing rain to make driving hazardous in many areas of The County. A 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Jared Peterson of Caribou went off the road within a short distance of a 2007 Chevy Tahoe operated by Laura Chase of Mapleton. Chase’s vehicle struck a utility pole and sustained significant damage. Peterson’s van sustained only minimal damage. While the vehicles left the road in the same area, there was no connection between the two incidents other than icy road conditions. Luckily, both drivers were not injured.
