Grace Pearl (Adams) Jackson

    HOULTON – Grace Pearl (Adams) Jackson, 92, passed away January 20, 2014, at The Aroostook Medical Center, Mars Hill. She was born July 28, 1921, the daughter of Lloyd and Edith (Smith) Adams.

    She married in September of 1940 and spent the next 37 years living on Sunday River Road, Bethel. She moved to Wallingford, CT in 1977 until her husband’s death in 2008 in which she returned to Maine to be with her daughters. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving behind many good memories. In her younger years, she was an Executive Director of Housekeeping of Brookview Hollow and Yale Motor Inn in which she met various stars such as Liberace, Carol Burnett and Tony Bennett to name a few.
    She is survived by four daughters, five sons and one son-in-law; Patty and Carl James of PA; Jacquelyn and Gary Rhosto of ME; Linda and George Banks of ME; Ann Jackson of CT; Clifton and Kathy Jackson of ME; Ralph and Barbara Jackson of PA; Ted and Shelly Jackson of CT; Garry and Sharon Jackson of CT; Allen and Irene Jackson of CT; Paul Balimotis of MA; 24 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton Jackson, a daughter Elizabeth Balmotis and son Anthony Jackson.
